Federal Solutions

United Business Technologies understands the unique solutions required today to meet Federal security regulations and guidelines with regard to copiers and printers.  Our systems engineers, along with our technicians, work closely with Federal Agency representatives to deploy the desired security-based solutions.  Our hands-on experience with these solutions is a direct result of UBT maintaining high-volume color copiers and printers within Department of Defense environments.  Our primary goal is to protect any document that is sent, stored, copied, or printed – either in a sensitive or unclassified environment.  Our solutions, comprised of both hardware and software, are listed below.

Copier Security – UBT provides Federal Agencies with the ability to authenticate individual users prior to device access and protection of data written to internal hard drives.

Document Security – UBT offers several solutions to secure documents generated and managed by Canon copiers. These include secure printing, document password protection, data encryption, and document rights management.

Network Security – With the assistance of UBT, we can secure copier network communication through the control of ports, protocols, and PC access. 

Third Party Security Software – The implementation of a secure copier based environment is dependent upon third party security solutions.  The most common solutions integrated by UBT system engineers include:

Print Management – UBT provides Federal Agencies with the ability to fully manage a nationwide fleet of printers.  We offer all-inclusive print management agreements that include parts, toner, supplies, and labor.  We also offer time and materials agreements based on a per call basis.  Printer issues can either be resolved by a UBT technician reporting on-site or over the phone with our customer support center located in Gaithersburg, MD.
