Leadership Team

Armen Manoogian has over 40 years of experience in the office imaging industry. He began his career at Xerox, where he held a variety of sales and management positions, and went on to become President and CEO of several companies before taking ownership of United Business Technologies in 2001. Under Mr. Manoogian’s leadership, UBT’s revenues have grown five times over making UBT one of the largest independent Canon dealers in the nation. He continues to be an influential entrepreneur and philanthropist in the Washington DC area. Mr. Manoogian graduated in 1964 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Pace University in 1974.

Mr. Wise comes to UBT after having spent 35 years with ComDoc, one of the largest Global/Xerox dealerships at $170 million in annual revenue. At ComDoc, he started as a Marketing Representative in 1984 and worked his way to Regional President for their Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia operations in 2011. In his new role at UBT, Mr. Wise will be responsible for all field operations including sales, service, and operations personnel. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Mr. Wise is a graduate of Youngstown State University where he is also a trustee for the Youngstown State University Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Wise has served as Chairman of the Junior Achievement board of Southwest PA and Vice Chair of the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium board.

Ms. Green gained valuable public accounting and financial management experience at the accounting firm of Laventhal and Horwath based in Rockville, Maryland, where she worked for two years and became a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Green has successfully held multiple positions including Accounting Assistant, Controller, and Vice President of Finance and CFO. Ms. Green graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Mr. Dumont began his technical career in 1989 and has over thirty-four years of direct technical service and management experience. Mr. Dumont has successfully held multiple technical positions including Service Technician, Service Manager, Regional Service and Operations manager, and Service and Operations Director. Mr. Dumont served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1986 and the Army Reserve from 1986 to 1994.

Mr. Matthews spent over twenty years in the imaging systems industry where he served in many strategic leadership positions including Sales Representative, Copier and Facsimile Sales Manager, Copier Imaging Divisional Manager and Vice President. Mr. Matthews graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University in 1990, earning a dual degree in Business Management and Economics.

Hau Lai serves as Vice President of Purchasing & Equipment Operations at United Business Technologies (UBT), leading the company’s procurement, inventory, and equipment management strategies. With extensive experience in supply chain operations and vendor relations, he oversees equipment acquisition, logistics, and lifecycle management to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. Hau’s focus on operational excellence and strategic partnerships helps support UBT’s continued growth and commitment to delivering innovative technology solutions.

Sharon Brent is the Contracts & Billing Manager at United Business Technologies (UBT), where she oversees contract administration and billing operations within the Administration Department. Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Sharon plays a key role in ensuring accurate processes, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and delivering exceptional service to both customers and internal teams. With her attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence, Sharon helps drive efficiency and consistency across UBT’s contract and billing functions. Her leadership, professionalism, and customer-focused approach make her a valued member of the UBT team.

Gary Mitchell is the Accounts Receivable Manager at UBT, where he leads accounts receivable functions and supports the organization’s financial operations. With a strong focus on accuracy, process efficiency, and customer service, Gary helps ensure effective cash flow management and reliable financial administration. Working from UBT’s Gaithersburg headquarters, he collaborates with teams throughout the organization to support operational excellence and deliver a positive customer experience

Sherelle Austin is the Administration Manager & Senior Sales Administrator at UBT, where she supports business operations, sales administration, and organizational initiatives across the company. Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, she is known for her leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. Through her collaborative approach and dedication to excellence, Sherelle helps drive efficiency, support company growth, and ensure a positive experience for both customers and employees.

Jermaine Clements serves as Supply Manager at United Business Technologies (UBT), where he oversees supply operations and inventory management to ensure customers and service teams have the resources they need to succeed. He works closely with departments across the organization to maintain efficient processes, support operational excellence, and help deliver exceptional customer service. Known for his responsiveness, attention to detail, and customer-focused approach, Jermaine plays a vital role in supporting UBT’s commitment to reliability, efficiency, and outstanding client experiences.

Laura Poletti serves as Director of Marketing and Senior Project Manager at UBT, where she leads strategic marketing initiatives, brand development, and cross-functional projects that support the company’s growth and business objectives. Based in Los Angeles, California, Laura combines creative vision with operational expertise to drive impactful programs, streamline processes, and enhance customer engagement. With extensive experience in marketing strategy and project leadership, Laura works closely with teams across the organization to execute high-impact initiatives, strengthen UBT’s market presence, and support long-term business success. Tom Middlebrooks serves as Senior Systems Engineer at United Business Technologies (UBT), where he leads technology initiatives and manages the company’s internal IT operations. Based in Vienna, Virginia, Tom is responsible for supporting UBT’s technology infrastructure while helping customers implement secure, reliable, and scalable IT solutions.
