Recently Canon debuted the technology for “eco-stapling” which allows users to “staple” up to 5 pages by scoring the sheets and does not utilize any actual staples. This is an example of both Canon’s environmental commitment as well as their innovation.

HP is committed to helping customers recycle responsibly. Their product-recycling goal is to recycle 1.2 million tons of hardware and supplies by 2025. Since the beginning of 2016, they have recycled 271,400 tons. More than 80% of ink cartridges and 100% of HP LaserJet toner cartridges are now manufactured with “closed loop” recycled plastic, and they have used over half a million pounds of ocean-bound plastic to make Original HP ink cartridges.

Toshiba recently developed the world’s first multi-functional device with erasable toner. With a strong commitment to sustainability, Toshiba realized that to be truly impactful in the printing environment there needed to be a way to reduce paper usage.
